I wished a spaceship would pick me up While lying in bed A yellow eyed ventriloquist Erase my head Rain for the storm Rain might stop, but the Rain might not stop Right by my star A spaceship from Tralfamadore Touched down outside A creature came to my front door And told me not to hide Rain might stop But the rain might not stop Right by my star Rain for the storm All of my worms Are waiting for me To decompose Around the tree All of my woes Are billeting to the sky In a black cloud of smoke That I blow in your eye

Blue Eastern sky, but The horizon to the West is pure, hazy-white A monolithic emptiness, Devoid of the pinks and the blues and the reds and the purple Of any other sunset. We see the circle and we ponder its circumference While its area goes unnoticed Invisible to any outside observer Maybe that band on The electromagnetic spectrum That we perceive as visible light, is just The outer surface displaying itself to us Blue Eastern sky, but The horizon to the West is pure, hazy-white You try to show me you don't wanna talk, that's alright Just wish you heard me when I told you that I needed your help We see a circle and we ponder its circumference The outer surface Displays itself to us While its area goes unnoticed Opaque to anyone who wishes to know it. Blue Eastern Sky, But the horizon to the West is pure, hazy-white. You try to show me you don't wanna talk.

You know I know you Your wall has fallen I can see right through Your insides are golden Let myself be swallowed by the waves I will not witness this world's decay I fell Into a sea Of a million burning spirals I cannot miss you You aren't really gone I will always hold you You'll exist beyond Let the ocean swallow me Hope that you don't have to see I fell into a sea Of a million burning spirals

about

Most of this album was recorded over the course of a single weekend, though it was written over several months and parts are from years prior. The album artwork is a photograph of the Innsbruck mountains in Austria, a photograph taken by the great educator and human Laura Fleming. Her history lessons about the Holy Roman Empire influenced both the name of this band and of this album, and beyond that her compassion for students and fellow humans was a beacon of light for all those who knew her. This album is dedicated to her memory.
